Digital Effects Supervision & Compositing

Ean Carr, Creative Director at the studio, is also an experienced Digital Effects Supervisor and Compositor with a career spanning over two decades in the film industry. His early work includes a position as a paint restoration artist at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where he worked on films such as The Fifth Element (1997) and Easy Rider (1969). He then moved on to intern at Sony Imageworks around the time Stuart Little (1999) was in production, generating lots of buzz at the time for creating one of the world’s first photorealistic, furry CG creatures.

Throughout his career, Ean has worked on a number of popular films. In 2022, he was the Digital Effects Supervisor on Thor: Love and Thunder. In 2021, he held the same role on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Fast & Furious 9. In 2019, Ean was the Compositing Supervisor on the popular streaming series The Mandalorian and Compositing Supervisor on the live-action version of The Lion King. Other notable films Ean has worked on include Venom (2018), Red Sparrow (2018), Life (2017), Pete’s Dragon (2016), World War Z (2013), Avatar (2009), Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008), Man of Steel (2013) and King Kong (2005).

Architectural Visualization

Carr Creative Studio recently delivered an exciting archviz project for a residence in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, featuring 3 rooms, the biggest of which included a unique and interesting focal point. As part of the project, we created a CG version of the Mazzorbo Sputnik chandelier, which is a real piece by Paulo Delima of Studio Bel Vetro. The client had a specific vision for this chandelier and one part of the brief was to visualize a custom version that has never been seen before. This version of the chandelier is much larger than the default version and features different colors, rod count and arrangement. The final product will be a stunning, one-of-a-kind visual representation adding to the residence’s aesthetic.

Elemental Celeste

Product Visualization for Elemental LED

In March 2021, Carr Creative Studio was commissioned to create a series of visualizations for a new and innovative LED linear light product called “Celeste Encapsulated”. One of the key features of this product is its flexibility, which allows it to be used in a variety of interesting construction applications. The team at Carr Creative Studio was tasked with creating visualizations that would effectively communicate this unique feature of the product. The final images showcase the product’s flexibility through the use of well-composed curves and well-framed compositions, highlighting the design possibilities of this remarkable new product. Overall the visualizations was a success, capturing the product features and potential usage in an effective and creative manner.

Product Visualization for VTMN Juice

In March 2021, Carr Creative Studio was commissioned to create a series of visualizations for a new product launch of VEIDA Cold-Pressed Cucumber Water. The brief for this project was to capture a beautiful and studio-lit quality feel that could showcase the product’s features and benefits. The final visualizations present a clean and polished look that highlights the refreshing qualities of the VEIDA Cold-Pressed Cucumber Water, appealing to potential customers and creating a strong first impression for the brand. The project required a high degree of attention to detail and expert lighting techniques, giving the final images a high-quality and professional look.

T&CO

Architectural Visualization for T&CO Wines

In 2022, Carr Creative Studio completed a project for T&CO Wines, where we were commissioned to visualize a modern dual-story glass house on their estate. We used the latest techniques and technology to bring the project to life, including aerial drone photography, 3D camera tracking, and building, texturing, and lighting the final product using HDRI images acquired on the day of the shoot. The final product was a highly detailed and visually striking representation of the glass house that accurately captures the essence of the T&CO estate.

Interior Visualizations for PLT15, Brazzaville

In 2020, the team at Carr Creative Studio had the pleasure of working on an interior visualization project for a stunning villa located in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo. The client brief for the project called for a modern and contemporary design, featuring elegant furnishings that captured the essence of the latest interior design trends. The team demonstrated their expertise in creating visually stunning images that accurately captured the designer’s vision of the final space, combining a high degree of creativity, technical skill and attention to detail to bring the project to life. The outcome was a luxurious villa with a design that’s both sophisticated and contemporary.
